A Family Business Built on Standards

Metal Fusion Technology has been operating from our modern workshop in Oldbury, West Midlands since 2003. We are a family-managed business, and that shows in how we work: direct communication, honest pricing, and a team that takes real ownership of every job we take on.

Our craftsmen bring a combined experience of over 25 years in the welding and fabrication trade. We work with clients across manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance sectors, handling everything from one-off prototype welds to repeat fabrication contracts and emergency tooling repairs.

Every job we produce is completed to ASMA IX and BS EN ISO 15614-1 standards by our BS EN 287 qualified welders. For procurement teams and production managers, that traceability is not a detail: it is the difference between a component you can certify and one you cannot.

We will provide a free, no-obligation quote for any work you require. We work with you to understand the spec before anything goes near the workshop floor, and we keep you informed at every stage.

The company is managed by an experienced family team where high standards of quality, service and customer satisfaction are paramount. · Metal Fusion Technology

Common Questions

What welding standards do you work to?
All of our work is completed to ASMA IX and BS EN ISO 15614-1 standards by qualified BS EN 287 welders. That applies across every job we take on, whether it is a one-off prototype or a repeat production run. If you need certification documentation for your own quality records, ask us when you enquire and we will discuss what we can provide.
How quickly can you turn around a tooling repair?
For urgent mould and press tool repairs, we can turn around repairs in just 24 hours, allowing you to get on with your work again as soon as possible. For non-urgent work, turnaround depends on the complexity of the job and our current workload. Call us with the details and we will give you an honest lead time.
Can you weld stainless steel and aluminium?
Yes. TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium is a core part of what we do. Both materials require different shielding gas, filler wire, and preparation to mild steel, and our welders work with them routinely. We also weld copper for clients who need that capability alongside their stainless or aluminium work.
What materials do you fabricate in?
Sheet metal fabrication work at our workshop covers mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. We work from customer drawings, CAD files, or samples. If you have a job that sits outside those materials or requires a combination of welding and fabrication, call us to discuss the spec.
Do you offer free quotes?
We will provide a free, no-obligation quote for any work you require, working with you to get the results you need. For straightforward jobs, a phone conversation is usually enough. For more complex fabrication or repair work, we may ask you to bring drawings or a sample part into the workshop so we can assess the job properly before quoting.
What industries do you work with?
We have worked with clients from a wide range of industries, and with businesses big and small, to deliver exceptional service. Manufacturing, engineering, tool and die, maintenance contracting, food processing, and construction are among the sectors we have served from our Oldbury workshop. If you are not sure whether your job is the right fit for us, call and ask.
Where are you based and how do I find you?
Our workshop is at 84 Park Street, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 4LE. We are accessible from Birmingham, West Bromwich, Sandwell, and the wider West Midlands via the M5. Most clients find it straightforward to bring work to us directly. Call ahead and we will confirm the best time to drop off your job.
